Manager/Director, Member Engagement

 

The Avoca Group is leading the Life Sciences industry to get medicines to patients faster. Through our Consulting & Research services and the Avoca Quality Consortium (AQC), we provide innovative solutions to improve quality and compliance in clinical research.

 

Summary of role:

We are currently seeking to expand our AQC Member Engagement (ME) team. This ME role (ranging from Manager to Director, based on candidate’s experience) will primarily be responsible for highlighting the value proposition of the AQC and developing deep relationships within client organizations. The role will engage members to ensure they experience the full value of the AQC and will drive excitement and participation in AQC events.


Our Member Engagement team consists of customer-oriented industry professionals with strong communication and project management skills. Ideal candidates will have Life Sciences industry experience and an understanding of clinical trials, as well as a relationship management background. This role will need to be able to adapt to the different needs and business processes of member organizations while adhering to internal Avoca standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Highlight the value of AQC membership for CRO segment, ensuring clients maximize all benefits of the AQC and realize their ROI
  • Develop relationships with key executives in identified member segments
  • Expand relationships with members, listening to needs and providing solutions through other Avoca services
  • Execute monthly demos in collaboration with team members and follow up with attendees (both members and new leads)
  • Liaise closely with Client Delivery to maximize visibility of new tools in the Knowledge Center and develop topics for member meetings
  • Partner with business development and marketing on lead gen, campaigns, and promotion of educational materials such as videos and tools


To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have a good understanding of the clinical trials industry and key players, with experience in a client-facing role in the Life Sciences
  • Possess excellent decision making/problem solving skills with a proven track record
  • Embrace teamwork, establishing effective working relationships and building trust with customers and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Be passionate about bringing solutions to the industry and have a desire to make a tangible difference for our clients
  • Be self-driven, with a sense of urgency and the ability to work effectively and independently in a virtual company environment
  • Have a strong presence with outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Possess strong presentation and reporting skills via MS PowerPoint and oral presentations
  • Minimum BA/BS
